A blacksmith in Ardachy (Ross Mull) when he was married in 1823.
One of many Maclachlans who were blacksmiths in Mull. Emigrated
to Canada about 1831 with his father, John.

Robert MacLachlan : 1838-1893
Caught a bad cold while serving on a jury in Hull
and died .. pneumonia. Three weeks after his death,
his father, who was living with them, died also!

Robert (Bert) Caven MacLachlan : 1892-1955
Brother of D.W. MacLachlan - Civil Engineer also and owned
cement/quarry interests in St. Catherines, Ontario.
These two brothers married two sisters (Kents).
Duncan William MacLachlan : 1881-1962
The Chief, as his sons-in-law called him, was a
graduate of McGill and Gold Medalist in Civil
Engineering class of 1903. When he retired he was
Chief Engineer, Federal Dept. of Transport.
